FAQ ON APPLICATION PROCEDURE TO BE A CIT IN 2020
Who is eligible to be a Counselor-in-Training (CIT)?
High school boys entering grade 9 in the Fall of 2020 are eligible to apply to be CITs.
NOTE: CITs participate in the March workshop, but do not attend the camp. Instead, they will attend a special 4 night trip to visit Revolutionary War battlefields from July 6th - 10th. There is no interview required for the CIT program.
What is the fee to attend the CIT trip?
CITs pay a $450 fee to enter the program. Scholarships are available upon request by contacting Raymond Le Grand at 972-904-1002.
What are the 2020 CIT trip dates?
The CIT trip will run from Monday 7/6 to Friday 7/10.
Where will the CIT trip go?
The CIT trip will begin at the Chestnut Hill Center, and transportation will be provided to Wynview (661 Sunset Hill Rd, Randolph, VT 05060), where we will be staying. During the trip, we will make visits to Bunker Hill, Lexington, Concord, and Fort Ticonderoga.
What will CITs accomplish on the trip?
The CITs will learn leadership skills through the study of the American Revolution. They will also be given ideas for how to make the most of High School, and become a leader in that environment. Finally, the CITs will have a chance to develop friendships with their peers and with Sebago staff members.
